Bay Area Pet Fair & Adoptathon
At the Marin Center in San Rafael
Bring friends, the kids AND the dog to the largest celebration of pets in the Bay Area! Meet adoptable animals from dozens of regional adoption and rescue organizations (including MHS). This two-day event will feature performance demos, expert talks, contests, a kids pavilion, and more than 100 vendor booths with products and services for your companion animals.
Cost: Adults $7; Kids 6-12 & seniors (55+) $5, Kids 5 & under free. Family Pack: Two adults/two children for $20.

Adopt an adult cat from the Marin Humane Society Friday, September 5 Sunday, September 7 for only $49.
With savings of more than $100 off the regular adoption fee, you’ll have plenty of extra spending money for kitty supplies!
The $49 adoption fee includes:
- Behavior and medical evaluation
- Pre-adoption medical treatments as needed
- Deworming, FELV/FIV test, flea/tick preventative and vaccinations
- Microchipping
- Travel carrier
- FREE post adoption behavior consultation
Help us find new homes for our adult cats one year and older. We hope this limited time special adoption fee will be just the incentive needed to add a new feline friend to your family.

Monthly Vaccination & Microchip Clinic

Dog and cat vaccinations are $5 each and microchipping is $20 for dogs and $10 for cats (microchips are free for cats with paid vaccinations). Unless otherwise noted, clinics are held the second Sunday of each month at The Marin Humane Society from 10 am to Noon.
Dogs must be on leash and cats in carriers.

By participating in books sales throughout the year, the Marin Humane Society is able to turn your used books into much needed resources for the shelter animals. Please donate your books, DVDs, CDs and books on tape (in good condition and less than 10 years old), and make a difference in the life of an animal in need.

Book sale to benefit MHS shelter animals
Peruse through hundreds of gently used books, DVDs, CDs and books on tape and you’re guaranteed to come across a great find for as little as $1! Journey’s greatest hits? A Danielle Steel novel? Old X Files episodes? You never know what treasures you’ll find at the Marin Humane Society Cat Fund’s Book Sales. Best of all, your purchases help raise money for the shelter animals at MHS!
Books are regular price the first two days and on the third day, you can fill a bag for $10! We have a lot of great books in all categories. Paperbacks/Soft covers are $2, hardbacks are $3 and children's books $1.
Book sales will be in the Education Room at the Humane Society, three days, 10am to 4pm.
