Cagney & Lacey
5-year-old
Spayed Females
These two lovely ladies were surrendered to our shelter because their guardian had to move. Life-long companions, the girls find comfort in each other, so would prefer to go home together. Having lived with other cats and dogs they should fit into almost any household as long as you allow for some time to settle in. Cagney is outgoing, relaxed, talkative, friendly and very affectionate; Lacey is very relaxed, sweet, and extremely friendly. Both girls are much loved by their devoted cat pet pals who find them to be excellent company, especially when belly rubs are on request. Both girls are mellow, but can be lured into action with cat toys. Perhaps a little less cat kibble and a little more Richard Simmons? We can just see you all now on a glorious summer afternoon, you on the stair master, the girls chasing the cat dancer dangling from the handlebar. Who better to have that kind of fun with than your purr(l)friends?

Daphne
2-year-old
Spayed Female
Daphne is a sweet and gentle lady who will love being your special feline companion. She loves people and will flourish with folks who are home much of the time. She would most likely prefer to be the sole four-legged recipient of your affection. This girl will enjoy you petting her and giving her all the fine things in life, including toys. She should stay indoors, away from too much sunlight. And where else would you want her to be but right with you to lap up all the attention you can give! In return she'll reward you with gentle kisses and soft purrs.

Cindie
2-year-old
Spayed Female

Cindie comes to us from an overcrowded shelter, so spa MHS has been just the place for her to settle in and enjoy the love and attention of devoted pet pals. According this attentive group of volunteers, Cindie is active, playful, loves being groomed (once a day is plenty!), and is acutely sensitive to her environment. Despite her sporty personality - can this girl jump and chase string! - Cindie knows when doors are slamming, dogs are barking and general mayhem is ensuing. She probably wants to be your one and only feline and would prefer a household on the quiet side. Cindie is so ready to move onto her "forever spa." This beautiful pumpkin of a cat will bounce - and chirp! - her way into your heart. Meet Cindie today!

Kristen

Lovely to look at, and delightful to hold ... on her terms. Do you appreciate the essential nature of the cat? Yes, well, keep coming. Do you have dogs or small children in the house? No, Kristen says that won't do. As you can see, this lovely girl knows her own mind. She is looking for just the right household: calm and relaxed, with people who want to groom her when she’s ready for it. We are sure that once she finds the right situation, she will relax and shower her new family with blessings and cat nudges.

Brigitte
1-year-old
Spayed Female

Brigitte is a lovely young girl! She was pregnant when she came to MHS, so she'll need some TLC to help her restore her girlish figure and youthful outlook. Brigitte is a confident, active cat and she’s quite chatty. She purrs almost constantly to let you know how much she appreciates your affection. This social and attentive girl should make a fine cat for any household.

Valerie Diamond

This delightful cat is truly a "Diamond in the rough!" When she settles into her forever home, her personality will shine. Miss Diamond comes to us after a rescue group saved her and her kittens from the streets. With a tough start like that please excuse Valerie Diamond for being a bit shy at first. We suggest that she be an indoor only cat, because if she goes outside she may get spooked and not be able to return. Come meet this gentle and curious girl!

Kentucky
4-year-old
Neutered Male
Kentucky is one cool kitty! This big confident cat will enjoy living with children but he doesn't seem to like other pets in his home. If you are looking for a mellow fellow with a bit of playfulness, Kentucky may be your guy! To help Kentucky adjust to your home, set him up in a small room of his own for a week or so. Provide a litter box, food, water, some toys and visit him often. Gradually let him explore the rest of your home, and always give him to option to return to his room.

Lagy Gaga

Lady Gaga has a bit to say about everything! This mellow cat is new to being indoors, and so she will need a patient guardian who will put in the time to gain this sweet cat's trust. She likes to be groomed, and regular brushing will help her feel calm and she will award you with her affection. Since she has been an outdoor cat in the past, watch the doors and windows so she doesn't slip out before she knows where her home is.

Wendel
9-month-old
Neutered Male
Wendel is a young cat who would like to go places, first of all to a comfy home. He is an inquisitive boy who purrs most of the time. We feel he will fit into a home with children as he is pretty tolerant of all the handling we administered. He purred all the time! Regular grooming will help his coat become silky and soft. What a nice cat, please ask to see this youngster!

Clover
1-year-old
Spayed Female

Clover is lovely and sweet- when given time. She will need a quiet room to settle into and call her own. If you use this room as her home base, this will give you and her time to get to know each other. After a few days, slowly open up the rest of the house, make sure the route back to home base is available. After becoming comfortable with us here, she started to chat up a storm and tell us secrets with her eyes.

Tulip likes things quiet and uncomplicated, and isnt a fan of children or chaos. Tulip likes petting and she's very happy to hang out with you. Tulip is looking for someone who loves cats and understands them in all their myriad guises. She'd like a quiet home where companionship is key and the rough and tumble of the world at large is left outside the front door. She's a sweet lady, deserving of such a wonderful life. Are you and Tulip on the same page? Ask to meet her. She'll be so happy you did.

Marsha Mellow
1-year-old
Spayed Female

Marsha Mellow says "hello" and let's be on our way! She was stuck in a rut having been at the Yolo County Animal Control with very little adoption action. However, she has hit the big time and she won't have to stay here long! Marsha reportedly likes other kitties, is very friendly with people and is described as "the queen of sweet". She will need to have her lovely tresses groomed, but as she is Marsha Mellow, that should be a wonderful bonding time.

Polly Ann

Polly Ann has a strong and tender spirit and may need a little time to settle in. Giving her a room to call her own is a nice way for her to start. In this room provide her with a litter box, bedding, food and water. The adoption process can overwhelm cats and starting Polly Ann in her room will help her acclimate to you and her new home. Polly Ann is lovely, mellow, affectionate, and a bit talkative. Come meet her!

Kim
1-year-old
Spayed Female
Kim has her own rags to riches story to tell. She was a young pregnant stray in Solano County. Fortunately, the wonderful SCARF organization whisked her into their foster program where she comfortably raised her litter of kittens. Then she arrived here via our Pet Partnership Program where her family was adopted. Now, it is her turn! Kim is a bit shy. She would do best in a quiet household with a routine schedule. Older children would be okay, but the hustle and bustle of young children would probably be too much for Kim.

Sadie
2-year-old
Spayed Female
Sadie is an undemanding, quiet, shy cat. She is gentle, beautiful and affectionate, once she trusts you. We can only imagine the wonderfully loving personality that will emerge once she knows that you are her forever companion! We recommend a cat-experienced, quiet home, which generally rules out homes with children. We don't know Sadie’s opinions on other cats and dogs, but we think dogs might be overwhelming to her. She may live well with a mellow, laid-back cat, but gentle Sadie could be bullied by a more opinionated pet.

Sulli
10-month-old
Spayed Female

Sulli was found at the local airport, a little nervous, a little shy but a beautiful delight. Stuck in those in-between months of neither a kitten nor an adult, she is both curious and reserved at the same time. Sulli will enjoy playtime with you as well as a good climbing tree to explore. And because the big world can overwhelm her, start her off in a quiet room of her own to give her time to acclimate. Having the family visit with Sulli in her room will help build faith and trust for everyone.

Tiger Lily
1 1/2-year-old

Tiger Lily is a dainty and gentle little soul. Barely out of kittenhood, she's already had a litter of kittens herself. Now it's time for Tiger Lily to be pampered and attended to by her devoted human family. We think Tiger Lily will prefer a home that's not too active; one where the children are older and can handle her with respect and a gentle touch. This lovely young lady, who likes to make biscuits when you pet her, will be a delightful companion!

Eva

This sweet little girl loves attention, lots of stroking, warm laps to cuddle in and gentle play. Because she has a slightly deformed hind leg Eva must spend her days and nights in the safety of your home. She is incredibly friendly and may do well with another cat in the family. Eva is very curious and playful and her idea of a perfect day would be lots of attention, cuddles and play followed by a nap by a sunny window. She will be a devoted little friend and has a huge capacity for love!
