Angela
1 year old
Spayed Female
Small home? Check out petite Angela, full grown at about six pounds! This little one gave birth to, and raised four fluffy kittens this summer and now is ready to kick up her dainty paws and get on with life in a loving home. Although she may seem a bit shy at fist, this tortoiseshell beauty has a bit of an attitude. Introduction to your home will be important, set her up in a small room of her own for a few weeks. Equip her with a litter box, food, water, a comfy bed, scratching post and your company as often as possible. As she seems ready let her explore the rest of your home a bit at a time. For more information please ask to read her foster home report.

Hannah
3 year old
Spayed Female
Quiet Hannah loves people. She loves to sit on laps, snuggle and being groomed. Hannah loves, loves, loves people, but she is not so keen on other cats. Hannah has been with us two times before; it was with this last adoption we discovered she does not like other cats. Her first visit was due to her original owner having too busy of a schedule to include Hannah. But! This gives you the perfect opportunity to show Hannah what the good life can be like. You could be the one who discovers her hidden talents for playtime and her quiet ways of entering your heart. You could be the person to show her what a true Home can be like- a Home that will be with her even when her whiskers turn gray. And in return she will love you forever, she will purr so loud she will wake you up at night, she will be your secret keeper and she will make everyday brighter for you! Come and meet Hannah- she could be your one and only!

Miss Kitty
1 year old
Spayed Female
Miss Kitty is a calm and mellow cat who is looking for a like minded family. She and her kittens came to us from Solano County via our Pet Partnership Program, and, after her kittens were adopted, she went to live in a foster home so that she could recover from the trials and tribulations of young motherhood. She was comfortable living with other adult cats there so she would be fine with that arrangement again provided she is properly introduced. Miss Kitty was an excellent mom and now that she's ready to start her life as a single gal, it's her turn to find a wonderful home of her own. Some cats are the life of the party, and some are a little more reserved like our Miss Kitty. Not that she doesn't like having a good time; she just needs you to go slowly with her at first so that she has time to feel comfortable. Before you know it, her trust will build, and she will settle right in. What a nice kitty!

Casper
4 year old
Spayed Female

Meet Casper who IS a friendly ghost white cat! She is another victim of the economic times, but don't expect this intelligent beauty to cool her well furred heels for long here! It appears as if Casper has been an "only pet" for all of her life. Although she may appreciate some feline companionship, it might just be that she is set in her ways. She did live with a child so another well mannered young human might work out well too.

Gander
10 month old
Spayed Female

Beautiful little Gander is looking for just the right, calm, quiet home to spread her 'wings' and grow into an affectionate lap cat. She has lived with another cat in the past, so given some time for proper introductions another cat may help her out of her shell. When you bring her home, give her a small room of her own. She likes to sleep under her bed, so perhaps some soft blankets will help her feel comfy. Watch any open doors or windows, Gander may try to escape if she feels nervous. As she feels more comfortable in her new surroundings she is sure to win your heart.

Mireille
1 year old
Spayed Female
Say hello to Mireille, the smoky exotic beauty with the mysterious green eyes. But, do you think those green eyes with the lovely long lashes are talking? No way! Mireille was found stray and she isn't divulging her past. However, we think that she could fit into just about any home with proper introductions and adjustment.

Sir Galahad
5 year old
Neutered Male

Handsome Sir Galahad came to MHS as a stray and is now looking for a home where he can grace his new family with his considerable charms. Regal and suave, he is the strong, silent type and has behaved like a gentleman with everyone he has met. Calm and easy going, he will probably adapt to most any new circumstances that come his way. We don't know his history with other cats, but he seems like a pretty "take it as it comes" type of guy, so it might be something to consider. He LOVES to be groomed and will purr with delight. He also fancies feather wand toys and will bring a smile to your face when his "inner lion" comes out.

Nanuq
2 year old
Spayed Female

This regal lady enjoys attention and will call out to you to share it with her. However, she has her limits and when she has reached them she will emphatically and loudly let you know. If you give this princess the adoration she requires, on her terms, she will grace your presence with charm and affection. Nanuq is convinced that she deserves the best and is certainly aware that she possesses a charming personality if you don't irritate Her Majesty. Spend plenty of time with her and once she is comfortable in her new home, she will most likely reward you with many hours of devotion and enthusiastic affection.

Daffodil
1 year old
Spayed Female
Pretty Daffodil has had a litter of kittens, but now she's ready to be pampered and tended to by you. While in foster care, we were told she was sweet, playful and quite cuddly. They reported that she is good with cats, dogs and kids. How purrfect is that?! While with us Daffodil has been a bit shy. She may need to be introduced to her new home slowly, she can get overwhelmed by large spaces or rooms. Daffodil should adapt nicely and we know she can't wait to get started! Daffodil would make a lovely addition to your family!

Fluffy
13 year old
Spayed Female

Fluffy may be in her golden years, but this lovely girl has plenty of love to give! Fluffy's gorgeous long coat will require regular grooming - fortunately, she enjoys being brushed, so this will be a nice way for you to spend time together. Fluffy is a quiet, calm girl who is sure to bring a lot of joy to your life!

Boo
2 year old
Neutered Male

Pretty boy Boo is a "go go go" type of cat. He wants to explore his environment before he says "hello". Not to say he is not a lap cat, he just needs to get to know you first. His previous owners had him mainly as an outside cat, so he is not used to people being interested or loving on him. Boo is an intelligent cat and could easily be taught cat tricks such as 'sit' or 'high five'. Boo can over stimulate at times, which means Boo can get too excited about being stroked or brushed and he could react suddenly. What we suggest to help avoid that situation is to make sure Boo is getting plenty of exercise with different want toys (a stick with a string toy attached.) Also environmental enrichment in your home will give Boo things to explore. It won’t take long for him to see how fun and wonderful having a loving family can be.

Timmy & B.C.
5 year old
Neutered Male
Meet Timmy, a big cat with a small voice! He and his best friend and brother B.C. are here looking for a new home. These guys could use a gradual increase in their exercise routine, coupled with a decrease in the amount of food available to shed a few pounds. Timmy has lived with his brother BC all his life, and they are a bonded pair. Timmy loves attention and is very affectionate, and will make someone very happy.

B.C. & Timmy
5 year old
Neutered Male

Here is BC, Beautiful Cat. He is quite bonded with Timmy and wants to go home with him. BC could lose a bit of weight - gradually increasing his play time will help. BC also enjoyed being groomed, which is a good thing as he will need grooming at least a couple of times a week. Please make sure you have the time for combing him, and be gentle with his tummy and on his sides. Neither BC nor Timmy lived with kids in the past, but we think they might do well with calm nice children. BC is very affectionate and loves attention, and we think he and his brother will make great companions for some lucky family.

Taft
2 year old
Neutered Male

This sweet, gentle giant has been living on his own near Clearlake. He was rescued by a wonderful person who saw he was a diamond in the rough. Taft is a melting pot of goodness. Take a moment to visit with him and you will be amazed how cool and calm his demeanor is. His personality suggests he would be perfect for any family looking for a kindred spirit. He spent a good deal of time outside and needs some TLC. Taft enjoys being groomed and will appreciate regular brushing to bring his coat back to a silky luster.

Ginger Snap
2 year old
Spayed Female
Ginger Snap, the self described "All American Girl". She is very social with people and other cats. So, she should fit into just about any household with ease. She recently weaned three orange brothers who were adopted together before they even touched the adoption floor. She is ready to settle into a home of her own, are you her dream come true?

Opie
3 year old
Neutered Male
Opie is a little shy and scared right now, but this handsome red head is quite curious about what's going on around him. We think there is a sweet and affectionate cat in there waiting to emerge given plenty of time and patience. Opie must be an INDOOR ONLY kitty since he has been de-clawed and has no way of protecting himself if he slipped outside. During his evaluation, we found him to be gentle and curious but wary of fast movements and loud noises. He occasionally gave us a little meow in the course of conversation to check in with us, but he still needed to be reassured that he was safe. Opie is a wonderful cat just waiting for the opportunity to feel safe and loved. He will repay you with years of sweet and gentle feline companionship.

Holly (Purrmonster)
2 year old
Spayed Female

Holly aka: Purrmonster is a gal who knows what she wants. Holly recently joined us from another Bay Area rescue and now she's looking for the purrfect home. Holly is outgoing and social and will enjoy a regular grooming and petting session while perched on your lap. She may also stretch and lounge about, without a great need for human companionship. Holly will rub up against you and solicit your attention, but she will absolutely let you know when she finds certain kinds of handling (such as nail trims and more-invasive vet-checking) not to her liking. For this reason we think she should live with someone who can read her moods. Holly has an outgoing and social side that will charm you and your friends, but understand that she can also be somewhat independent and "of her own mind" at other times. This pretty feline has strong opinions!

Kitty Girl
6 year old
Spayed Female
Give Kitty Girl a lap or a fluffy pillow and she'll be your BFF. This sweet lynx point is very affectionate and gentle but somewhat shy, according to her previous guardian. She has a funny habit of hiding under things - blankets, beds, the family dog (just kidding!). In addition, she is a talker with her appealing meow ringing through the house. She has lived with another cat but doesn't know children just yet. Since she's used to the peaceful life, perhaps it's best if you leave it that way. She's declawed on her front paws, so outdoor living is out of the question. But let Kitty Girl rule the roost and this little queen will pay you back in spades.
